Location: Worcester (Hybrid working available occasionally)

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role focuses on purchase ledger, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of finance functions. It’s ideal for someone looking to develop their career in finance through practical, on-the-job learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing purchase ledger transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting month-end processes and working to tight deadlines
  • Helping implement improvements and adapt to changes in finance processes
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks across the team as required

 

Who We’re Looking For

 

  • Someone organised, methodical, and proud of delivering work with high attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a finance role (purchase or sales ledger experience preferred)
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines and adapting to change
  • Thrives in implementing new processes and able to think creatively to solve problems
  • Confident with digital tools, including Microsoft Office; experience with Sage is a plus
  • Experience in a multisite organisation is desirable
  • AAT part/qualified (or equivalent) is a bonus, but not essential
  • Flexible and willing to pick up additional tasks as needed
